Reed Scudder
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine & Owner
DVM Reed Scudder- A graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Reed has had the honor of working for some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country. He has also worked for the ‘Vets Without Borders’ and offered his services to third world animals in need. Reed returned to his Alma Mater for a certificate in ‘Veterinary Acupuncture’. Reed continues to educate himself with current Western medicine as well as alternative treatments to provide the best care for your animal companion’s health. DVM Scudder is always there to provide diagnostic and treatment options that best help clients and their pets!
Marley Garven
Vet Assistant, CVT student
Marley was born and raised in Kauai, Hawaii. They worked at Kauai Humane Society as a vet assistant as well as an animal control officer before moving to Sedona. They have always loved working with animals, and they’re currently pursuing their degree in veterinary technology to become a certified technician. Marley enjoys long creek days with their dogs Oliver and Willow, traveling, and learning all they can about small animal nutrition.
Brina Sandoval
Vet Assistant
Brina was born in the Verde Valley in 1999, raised in Cottonwood, AZ and Highlands Ranch, CO. Brina always had a passion for animals. As a child, she would go to vet clinics and watch and learn from the doctors and technicians. Her personal hobbies include makeup, hanging out with her labs Athena and Sullivan, and archery. She’s worked at the VVH for almost six years.
Michelle Alagna
Certified Veterinary Technician
Michelle has been a certified veterinary technician since 2001. Born and raised in San Diego, Ca, she’s lived in Arizona since 1992. Michelle has been married to her husband Adam for 30 years. Together they have a daughter, a grandson, and a beloved dog named Stormy. She is dedicated to patient care and saving as many animals as she can.
Alex
Vet Assistant, Pre-Vet Student
Alex grew up on the east coast and is currently a student of Medical and Biological Anthropology at Boston University. She took a gap year to be with family in Sedona and take some time for herself, where she found she had a passion for working with animals. After starting in the kennel and moving to the medical team at the VVH, she feels she has found her true passion and hopes to finish her degree and BU and pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine as a DVM. She is currently enrolled in a veterinary technician program. Alex loves fitness, cooking, and her rescue sheltie Kermit.
Chantel
Practice Manager
Chantel was born and raised in south Florida, where she graduated from Florida State University in 2002. She moved to Sedona 20 years ago to be closer to family and has since fallen in love. The proud owner of 3 chinese crested dogs- Yappy, Willie, and Vern. She also has a rescue, three mice, and a cat named Tiger Woods.
